DCAP: Essential Utility Data Hub for Long Distance AMR Submetering

Tehama’s Data Concentrating Access Point (DCAP) is the central hub of the automated meter reading (AMR) system, wirelessly collecting data from Meter Data Transceiver (MDT) submeters and transmitting it to Tehama’s Central Information Tool (CIT) or third-party platforms via API.

DCAP enables near real-time communication with meter nodes for accurate visibility into water, gas, or electric usage. It supports both live and historical data, allowing for scalable, reliable utility management across diverse property types.

Available in Standard (1 mile) and MAX Range (up to 10 miles) configurations, DCAP offers flexible deployment using repeaters and solar or traditional power. It operates independently of on-site internet, maintaining continuous data flow via Ethernet, WiFi, or optional cellular service.
