DCAP: Essential Utility Data Hub for Long Distance AMR Submetering
Tehama’s Data Concentrating Access Point (DCAP) serves as the central hub of the automated meter reading (AMR) system. It wirelessly collects data from Meter Data Transceiver (MDT) submeters and transmits this information to Tehama's software, Central Information Tool (CIT), or third-party platforms via API for analysis.
DCAP enables near real-time communication with each meter node, ensuring accurate readings and visibility into water, gas, or electric usage. It supports both live and historical data for reliable, scalable utility management.
Available in Standard (1 mile per repeater) and MAX Range (up to 10 miles) configurations, DCAP supports flexible deployment using repeaters and solar or traditional power options.
It operates independently of on-site internet, using Ethernet, WiFi, or optional cellular service to maintain continuous data flow and system control.
