The Tehama Wireless MDT reads data from utility meters and transmits it to the DCAP once an hour. Housed in a small compact case, it is powered by two AA batteries for a 5+ year battery life. An on-board real time clock time stamps readings at the source and stores a few data points for later re-transmission should a brief network outage occur.

FEATURES

  • Pulse Model compatible with nearly all utility meters
  • Encoder Model to read Sensus & Neptune meters
  • Time-of-Use Model with 15 minute readings and 45+ day data storage
  • DC / line powered models available; avoid battery maintenance
  • Other sensor inputs available including temperature, 4-20mA signals, Modbus (coming)
  • Up to 2500 foot open field range*
  • Integrated real time clock for time-stamping at the MDT
  • Small compact form, mounts with screw, Velcro, or 2-sided tape
  • LED indication for RF network status
  • Interface button for status or for On/Off state
  • FCC certified for US and Canada

The Outsider™ MDT combines direct meter reading with our proven AMR radio to provide a quick and simple assembly process. Our Outsider™ MDT slides directly onto the register housing of all NMT SingleMag™ and VersaMag™ water meters, secured by a single screw. With no wiring involved, we have eliminated the common errors that can occur during shipment and installation.

Like all our MDTs, the battery life exceeds five years and the AA batteries are field replaceable. The Outsider™ MDT includes the case with locking ring, the MDT with batteries, and the screw for securing it to the meter register.

FEATURES

  • Easy-to-Install: Slides onto the register of any NMT SingleMag or VersaMag water meter and eliminates the wiring for simplified installation
  • Plumber installations: With the integrated meter and MDT, a plumber can install everything at each meter point without manipulating or breaking any wiring
  • Reliable: Combining the proven technologies of Tehama and NMT in an easy to install system helps ensure proper and long-lasting installations
